Guide

Which digital bathroom scale is right for you?

A digital bathroom scale shows your body weight on a display – usually in 100 g increments, the Matrix in 50 g increments, and on most models with step-on technology: simply step on and read. ADE offers digital bathroom scales with weighing surfaces made of safety glass, in wood look or made of bamboo, models with an extra-large display or an external wireless display, a talking bathroom scale with voice output, and scales with an increased capacity of up to 250 kg. If you would also like to see estimates such as body fat or muscle mass, you will find them among the body analysis scales.

  1. Large display, easy to read

If you want to read your weight without glasses: Katharina has a 10.6 x 9.1 cm LCD display with extra-large black digits. It weighs up to 200 kg in 100 g increments and switches on via step-on as soon as you step onto it.

  2. Read without bending down

Here, a separate wireless display shows the weight – to stand up or hang at eye level. When you are not weighing, it shows the time, date, room temperature and humidity. Capacity up to 180 kg, graduation 100 g.

  3. Hear your weight instead of reading it

The talking bathroom scale Gina announces your weight out loud – in German, English, French, Spanish or Italian. The volume is adjustable, and the announcement can be switched off. The weighing platform made of tempered safety glass holds up to 250 kg.

  4. More capacity and space

Valerie weighs up to 220 kg in 100 g increments and offers an extra-wide weighing platform made of safety glass (35 x 30 cm). Its Magic Display is invisible when switched off and shows large illuminated digits when weighing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Digital bathroom scales

All FAQs
How accurate is a digital bathroom scale?

ADE digital bathroom scales usually show your weight in 100 g increments, the Matrix in 50 g increments. For comparable results, the scale should stand with all four feet on a firm, level floor – ideally on tiles or parquet, not on carpet.

How do I switch the scale on?

Most models use step-on technology: you simply step onto the scale and the measurement starts automatically. After weighing, an automatic shut-off switches the scale off again.

What weight capacity do I need?

The weight capacity indicates the maximum weight the scale can measure. Many models weigh up to 180 kg, the Katharina up to 200 kg, the Valerie up to 220 kg and the talking Gina up to 250 kg. When choosing, it is best to allow for some extra capacity.

Which batteries do the scales need?

Depending on the model, the scales run on AAA batteries or button cells (CR2032), and the matching batteries are included. The product page shows which ones your model needs. If you want to weigh yourself without any batteries at all, take a look at the mechanical bathroom scales.

Do these scales also measure body fat?

No, the scales in this category only show your body weight. ADE body analysis scales provide estimates for body fat, body water, muscle mass and bone mass.
